AUDIVOX is an avant-pop duo based on New York City’s Lower East Side, with a contemporary classical spine and an electronica edge. Cinematic and vocal-forward, the music translates contemporary classical idioms into avant-pop vernacular through synth-driven electronic production.
A portmanteau of the Latin audire (“to hear”) and vox (“voice”), Audivox describes the collaborative process between composer, producer, and instrumentalist Charlie McAteer and vocalist and co-composer Lily McAteer: a symbiotic interplay where listening becomes inspiration, and inspiration becomes music.
