Audivox is an art pop duo based on New York City’s Lower East Side, crafting synth-driven songs anchored by soaring soprano melodies. Vocal-forward and immersive, their sound builds modern electronic worlds around the voice, melding cinematic scope with dynamic propulsion.

A portmanteau of the Latin audire (“to hear”) and vox (“voice”), the name Audivox reflects the project’s sonic identity. Vocalist and songwriter Lily McAteer, an ex-ballerina who turned to opera to develop her voice, brings power, control, and emotional precision to the duo’s music. Producer, songwriter, and instrumentalist Charlie McAteer is a classical musician whose work runs from Broadway to Bvlgari, contributing precision, polish, and strong design instincts to Audivox’s sound. The two first collaborated during a production of Carousel in Vermont.

On New Year’s Eve 2025, Charlie and Lily wrote and recorded their self titled debut single, “Audivox.” Hypnotic vocal motifs drive a steady, relentless escalation, framed by dense, detailed synth design and a dark, physical low end. The result is a high-drama atmosphere with sharp detail and sleek bite. “Audivox” is now streaming on all platforms.
